Man I suck!

I owe my livejournal followers a huuuuuuuge update that will include tons of art, and a Heroes and Staple con wrap up.

I promise.

Also, I'm in the middle of some intense comic work getting a couple things off the ground, so Party Bear is taking a few weeks off.

I hope you understand, and you all want to see me be able to feed myself right?

Hey, last minute decision to go to Heroes this year.

I'll be in Indie Island at table 418 next to Dean Trippe, Evan Cranston, Jason Horn and Roger Langridge.

I have freshly printed minis with never before seen art and new comics. I'll also have a limited run of Iron Man prints and of course a few copies of Aqua Leung.

Also, no Party Bear this friday due to the convention.

See you in Charlotte!

Still taking commissions, drop me a line if you want one and we can talk prices.

New Party Bear

Hey, as I'm trying to build some online readership for Party Bear, I thought I would cross post the new page this week here for people that don't normally read it on ACT-I-VATE (Or don't remember it's on there).

Also, if you missed it I did a quick interview about it on Newsarama a little while back. Check it out. The page count number is off, I don't know what happened there.

Took a little artistic license. This was sort of a warm up ink job. Maybe later I'll get to that Earthworm Jim laying around.

Hey, so I washed my 16gb iphone today.

I now need to raise money for a new phone fast, as I cant really go long before I need to be on certain phone calls.

If you want art from me, now is the time to ask for reasonable prices.

Colors by Jacon!

And, as I'm told by Andy, this will get printed. The wonders of the internet!

Another con sketch

This one inked at STAPLE!

Thanks to Ricky for scanning it nice and big so I could clean it up.

Full con report tomorrow. Then I pack up my computer and move to South Austin this Saturday. Might be without internet for a few days, and hopefully not longer. I'm still trying to figure out a cheap internet plan that isn't slower than Palin.

Convention!

Remember, I'll be at STAPLE today in Austin, and at Red 7 tonight doing a live art show.

Here's a Firebreather con sketch/drawing I'll be selling at the show. Gotta ink Omac, Earth worm Jim and Spiderwoman at the show..I'll try to take good pictures of them.

"It is Aqua Leung. Nothing else matter."

The two reviews Aqua Leung has on amazon are both equally hilarious.

5.0 out of 5 stars demand for an award, beautifully crafted story, October 5, 2008 By Karna Mustaqim "Karna" (MEDAN, Indonesia) - See all my reviews I've just like two say two thumbs up for this comics. The classical contemporary graphic novel, nope, i would like to stick on 'comics'. it's fun, it's serious, it's dark but colorful, it is Aqua Leung. Nothing else matter.

1.0 out of 5 stars BLATANT ART JACKING, February 11, 2009 By Masanobu Finn (Boston, MA) - See all my reviews Though the story is passable (albeit poorly paced), I strongly suggest no one funds this Carlos Mencia-level of theft. Aqua Leung's art style is almost a direct theft of Bryan Lee O'Malley's "Scott Pilgrim" series; which came out 4 years prior to Aqua. I'd point out some specific iterations, but just Google an image of both; it's flagrant. So buy this if you love to fund poor imitations and have some sort of vendetta against originality. Also buy this if you hate artists...and children.

Can someone please write a normal review on there?? Please?

Here's an interview I did at the con last year. Apparently I was in a good mood.

I'll be there this year splitting a table with Paul Benjamin. I'll be sitting right next to Stan Sakai, so come on...by.

 Hello loyal livejournal readers.

I'm unsure of the future of LJ, so in an effort to not lose all my posts with a sudden plug pulling of this site, I went and made a clone on wordpress.

Took me 2 DAYS.

www.paulsome.wordpress.com

It's a slimmer version dating back to Feb 2006. I combined some posts and made it all around more functional. The tags actually work on this new incarnation too. I fixed any dead links I found, but let me know if something doesn't work if you take a look. I'll still be posting here until LJ closes its doors, but bookmark the new blog as I'll cross post any future journal entries. And yeah, I know the wordpress page visually isn't that great. I'm working on it, believe me. -Paul

Seeing is Believing

Ok, long post, no cut, tooo bad.

Outside my window in Boston, I'm glad to be back in warm weather.

Back to work on some new stuff.

That's some new Party Bear on the screen.

Everyone should pick up my buddy Nathan Fox's Pigeons from Hell. I have a tiny pinup in the back of the trade.

My snowboard in the new Shaun White game is super expensive, and I have yet to purchase it in game.

The little blurb you get if you press x.

I picked up a copy of Comics International, which has a sweet color feature on Aqua Leung!

It's kind of cool seeing the images in magazine format.

The pen quote isn't mine, I was quoting someone else in the interview.

That's all for now. I have a lot of work to catch up on!
